Amsterdam Brewing Company

Amsterdam Brewing Company

Back in 1986, a revolution was sparked in a new brewpub on John Street in Toronto. Ales, lagers, stouts and seasonals were brewed on premise, introducing thirsty patrons to something they had never encountered in a beer -- flavour.
Every beer we make holds to the promises we followed in crafting our very first brews: Made by hand, made fresh daily, and made for you.

All Natural Blonde Lager
Crisp and clean, our flagship lager is a golden coloured beer brewed in the tradition of its Continental cousins. Using Canadian pale barley, our brewers make this beer by infusing the malt wort with only the finest aromatic German and Czech hops. After a controlled fermentation with our Danish yeast strain, the beer is chilled and aged until being cold-filtered prior to kegging or bottling. Framboise
Framboise
Using an old world recipe, we handcraft this beer with Belgian wheat malt and fresh Canadian raspberries. In fact, six pounds of fresh British Columbia raspberries go into making every case, resulting in a tart, crisp flavour. Our double fermentation process produces an intensely fresh raspberry aroma and palate, abundantly obvious from its ruby-red colour and pink head. During the aging process, the hop and fruit acids balance out the residual malt sugars to give this beer a fully balanced flavour and aroma. Amsterdam Framboise is best served chilled and shared with friends.
