Beau’s on the LCBO shelf 10 Comments »

Well, we finally did it! That’s right, we got our LCBO #. We’ve lined up stores. We’ll be delivering on Tuesday. The LCBO! Now we just need to figure out how to invoice them, how delivering works and stuff like that. You know, the everything else.

My sister, Jen, spent a half day calling prospective stores and got 10 lined up, which was really cool. Here’s the list so far:

RIDEAU & KING EDWARD
275 RIDEAU STREET, CORNER OF KING EDWARD AND RIDEAU ST, OTTAWA-CENTRAL, K1N5Y3

RICHMOND & KIRKWOOD
222 RICHMOND ROAD, OTTAWA-WEST, K1Z6W6

CARLING & WOODROFF
2211 CARLING AVENUE, OTTAWA-WEST, K2B7E9

WOODROFFE & BASELINE (COLLEGE SQUARE)
1363 WOODROFFE AVENUE – UNIT A, COLLEGE SQUARE, OTTAWA-NEPEAN, K2G1V7

HUNT CLUB & MERIVALE (NEPEAN CROSSROADS)
543 WEST HUNT CLUB RD., OTTAWA-NEPEAN, K2G5W5

INNES & TENTH LINE
4220 INNES RD, UNIT #1 BUILDING F, OTTAWA-ORLEANS, K4A5E6

HWY 34 & HWY 17
56 MAIN STREET EAST, HAWKESBURY, K6A1A3

BARRACK & KING
34 BARRACK STREET, KINGSTON, K7K7A9

PRINCESS & CONCESSION
905 PRINCESS STREET, KINGSTON, K7L1G7

QUEEN MARY & BATH
1280 BATH ROAD, BAYOU PLAZA, KINGSTON, K7M4X3

Pretty exciting stuff. I started looking into the listing process in May 2007 and its been a long journey getting here. The staff at the LCBO have been really quite helpful though; I can’t imagine how difficult it would have been without their extra help.

Beer Tasting at Hart House 3 Comments »

Hello everyone,

As most of you know, I am not a brewer (well, except for that one batch I brewed in my back yard last summer…)

I am a big supporter of Ontario Craft Brewers, though: my latest project is a beer tasting that will take place at Hart House (in Toronto) tomorrow, and it will feature a number of OCB beers.

This is a great opportunity for people who would like to find out more about Ontario beer to taste a fine assortment, and to hear a little bit about each beer…

Anyway, I was asked to post the event information on the OCB blog…This is my first blog entry ever, and I couldn’t figure out how to put up the flyer, so I thought I’d add this mouth-watering image instead:

Here’s the info on the tasting:

When: Thursday, February 21, 7-10pm
Where: Hart House Music Room
How Much: $45 adult, $20 student

This is the official blurb:
“Included with each ticket is a tasting of 9 speciality craft beers along with a generous portion of gastro-pub nibbles.”

By the way, “gastro-pub nibbles” is code for “yummy hors d’oeuvres that were prepared to taste great with the beers that will be sampled!”… Anyway, for tickets or more information click here.

neustadtspringsbreweryfront.jpgneustadtspringsbreweryside.jpgneustadtspringsbreweryback.jpgOk I give in. this is for Mary, Lisa, Steve and Rob. (our fantastic marketing team) Brand Fire is the best!

Neustadt went green in September, we invested in a smart car. Yes,as my kids say a clown car. It was first bought to stop my teenage kids from pinching my car (an intrepid). This did not happen as it was the only one in the whole of Grey County, my 20 year old thought it was a great gimmick to pull the chick’s. It is fantastic, I love it. It holds it self well in the snow. It cost’s me 12$Â to go to TO (a six hour drive there and back) I would recomend anybody to get one. Every one wants to sit in it. I pull in any where and all of a sudden I have people who love it and want to know all about it. I know this isn’t about beer, but what the hell, go green and save the planet!
