I was able to make it down to the Victory Cafe for the cask ale festival. I brought my friend Blair down as well. We enjoyed tasting several different ales, ones not available in Ottawa, and we had a blast. Our first time with real ale and it was wonderful. Blair also won a Black Oak Tee, unfortunately, all I got was a little happy and a collectible glass, but what a fun time. I hope I don't have to wait a couple more years to vacation in TO.
On a side note the LCBO's in TO are so much better then what we have in TO. More OCB beers and a tasting section. I was at LCBO on Queens Quay & Yonge. I came out with 8 beers from 6 OCB brewers. Yes Val I finally tried 3 different beers from Neustadt Springs. 10W30, Scottish Pale Ale, and Lager. Also in my 8 pack was Hockley Dark and Hockley Stout, Wellington County's Trailhead Lager and County Dark Ale. The last beer was Brick's J.R. Brickman Amber. Overall it was good food, great beer(Can, Draught, and Real Cask) and I want to come back soon.

Anyone else having a tough time finding the Discovery Pack at the LCBO??

Short answer is - some people have.

Stores are selling through the inventory they are getting (could be that they aren't ordering enough) and there is sometimes a delay in re-stocking.

SO! If you're finding the Discovery Pack isn't on the shelf... ask the manager to place his/her order.

Loving the Discovery Pack. For the record... I'm 'sucking' at the OCB caps game.... but having fun trying!

Hi Lisa

been there, done that, waiting to buy the T-shirt. I gave a discovery pack to a friend as a Christmas gift. I always share my OCB beers with people who quickly run out of blah beers. A couple of friends are picky and still prefer the major labels. I just think their tastebuds are shot. 8-D

If we ever need a volunteer - you'll be our guy!!
What you can do is share the current Discovery Pack with your friends... hopefully they'll get the 'Craft Beer Bug' just like you!!
Have you played our 'Caps Game' on our website yet?
