Snow January 30th, 2008 3 Comments »
So you think you have had it rough in TO today. Well let me show you why we love living in the snow belt. We like to have snow days, when we can stay in bed when all the roads are closed in our county and every county around us………I don’t think!. Luckily we live in the brewery so we don’t have an excuse to say we cann’t get in to work. Your favourite tipple is still being produced ready for when we can escape Grey County. Stay warm work up a thirst!
Sap is coming January 30th, 2008 No Comments »
Ray Fortune of Fortune Farms was down at the brewery this week to warn us that the maple sap may be flowing earlier than expected in Lanark. It seems that the ground under the snow is not frozen. We got snow, more snow and lots more snow pretty early this year, meaning that the ground did not freeze before being covered in the white stuff. We will be able to brew the Maple Bush Lager as soon as the snow melts rather than waiting for so long like last year.

Cameron’s Jolly Dodgers at The Budd Cup January 24th, 2008 2 Comments »
The Budd Cup is an annual charity Dodgeball Tournament held in Toronto.
The event entails somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 teams or 150 people battling it out on the Dodgeball court while raising money for charity.
This year the Budd Cup was raising money for The Canadian Music Therapy Trust Fund - a bold, non-profit initiative designed to integrate, educate, celebrate and promote all facets of music therapy in this country.
Not only was Cameron’s the official beer sponsor for the event, but we also fielded a 14 person squad - The Cameron’s ‘Jolly Dodgers‘. Although we lost our first game to the defending champions (Mr. Dodgers Neighborhood), we were able to draw Cops and Dodgers in the second game and managed to squeak out a win over the Dodgebots in our third game.
All in all, it was a great event for a great cause.
For the rest of the pictures and more Cameron’s event info, visit the Cameron’s Brewing Facebook Page.
More on The Canadian Music Therapy Trust Fund - Since 1994, with the help of the Canadian music industry, the Trust Fund has been able to distribute over $2 million to almost 290 projects from coast to coast. These projects range from hospices for terminally ill persons with cancer or HIV/AIDS, centres for the aged, schools for children who are autistic, physically or mentally challenged and programs for street kids.
Cameron’s Cask Night: Thursday January 31st 5:00 - 8:00pm January 20th, 2008 No Comments »

Hello friends,
This month’s Cameron’s Cask Night will be on Thursday January 31st, from 5:00 - 8:00pm
Cameron’s Cask Nights are a casual and intimate monthly event at the brewery. The guestlist only event is mainly a chance for us to share a glass of our latest creation with our friends, supporters and our local community.
For those who have not been to the brewery before, this is a great chance to meet the folks behind the scenes and to tour our facility.
We will be giving brewery tours from 5:00 - 5:45 and will be tapping the Cask at around 6:00pm. We will bring in some local food to enjoy as well.
Check out some Cask Night Video Clips on our Facebook Fan Page or on YouTube.
The event is capped at 50 people to keep it intimate and to ensure everyone gets a taste of the cask.
For any questions or to RSVP, email mike@cameronsbrewing.com
For more information or to get directions, visit this Cameron’s link.
Hope to see you all there.
Cheers.
Happy New Year! January 10th, 2008 1 Comment »
Hey Guys and Gals
Happy New Year from every one at Neustadt.
2007 flew by and saw a lot of changes at Neustadt. We celibrated our 10th anniversay on 23rd December. Launched a celebration Decade Bitter for the occasion (only available from the brewery) Re launched our winter beer Big Dog Porter, this year working with Pele Island and using thier red wine in the porter. Launched our beers into .473 cans (we are still waiting for LCBO approval for the Lager) Managed to fit a lot of alterations in (thanks to Andrew working round the clock) please forgive him if he looks half asleep, I think he could sleep on a clothes line!
2008 promises a lot more of ………….. a day in the life of Neustadt! be it good or bad we really do have a sense of humour. Bring it on 2008 we are ready, as most of the Ontario Craft Brewers are. All I have to do now is wake Andrew up to go and pick our new brewer Rob Beck from the airport. He is flying in from England ( yes we are bringing in the best of the best) and he will be working with Andrew for the next 12 months (somebody has to keep Andrew awake)
Oh! and if anybody finds a portable garage in Peterbourgh, Oshawa area please send it home it’s mine for my smart car it disapeared yesterday in that high wind!
