Visit Neustadt this fall for a taste of Big Dog Porter September 20th, 2007
Hey Guy's and Gals
The leaves are a changing and I think this is the best time of the year! Grey and Bruce counties really shine with fall colours. The weather has been great. So come and day trip around Neustadt, we have some great artisans ( for your special Xmas one of a kind gift) Also Andrew is begining to think about his winter beer …Big Dog Porter. Hopefully it will be ready by the end of October. This year we are proud to be working with Pele Island Winery and will be using thier wine in our Big Dog Porter. So all you fans of this winter beer let us know what you think about this change in the winery we have chosen to put in the Porter.

Val:
I’m just back from stand up gigs in Timmins - T-bay and a few points in between. Loved the 10W 30 - shared it with family and friends and all were delighted with it.
We are possibly doing a gig at the Heritage Theatre in Wingham - not too far from you - we are just pinning down the date for a few months from now - and we would be love to promote your new porter at the event. Let’s talk about it.
Keep in touch

What can I say, as a mere brewery we are at the mercy of the LCBO and all the other powers that be.
Because we have a proto type machine that didn’t conform to Canadian Law we have been held back, but hey that didn’t put us down we are still here and pushing forward and thank you for being patience, remember everything good is worth waiting for!

Hi Val and Andy: want to thank you for inviting me up to see the finishing stages of this year’s “Big Dog” Porter.
Great opportunity to sample it fresh.
As always each year is a bit different in character and this 2007 release is the one I like best.
Rich character ( almost stout-like) wonderful balance between the black malt/hop bite and the toasted-toffee malts…still this porter’s flavors were well pronounced but have become a robust amalgam which readily accepted the touch of Gamay wine to add a wee tart berry discernment right in the finish.
I can’t wait to try it in cask.
