Golden Tap Awards August 21st, 2007 No Comments »
Great to see some OCB'ers out for the Golden Tap Awards at beerbistro. A fun night with tasty food, good people and a great beer selection. Thoroughly enjoyed Denison’s Weissbier, Black Oak's Transvestite's Tipple, and Church-Key's West Coast Pale Ale.
Congrats to all the winners and thanks to beerbistro for hosting and for the 20+ mini sandwiches/burgers I tackled.
Until next time.

Unfortunately Walkerville Brewing Company will not be at this year's great event! We had to split our muscle (& beer) with some 30,000 Wallaceburg country folks who are going to begin indulging any minute in 400 cases of Walkerville Superior Light! So we wish all our fellow brewers, beer drinkers and just fun festival people, a great time in Toronto. See you at the festival next year. In the meantime check for us @ C'est What when making a pit stop on the way home.
cheers

See you all there. Cameron's has booths 22 and 65 this year and will be serving all four of our beers at both. Stop by and check out our new American Apparel clothing line, it's pretty sweet.

Toronto Festival of Beer is here August 7th, 2007 No Comments »
The 12th Toronto Festival of Beer, presented by our friends at The Beer Store, starts this week, so get your tickets while you still can. In the meantime, here's a story from Aonghus Kealy at Metro News about the festival that represents the Ontario Craft Brewers very nicely.
still can.
Aonghus's story features his 12 things not to be missed at the fest…we draw your attention to #12:
12. Ontario Craft Beers … yum!: Eat and drink locally. And there are a number of reasons to try some OCB beers:
- Beer ice cream, by Great Lakes Brewing (Booth 55), served out of a bicycle fridge.
- Neustadt Springs’ re-introducing Scottish Pale Ale in Booth 47. “It’s only 4.5 per cent and it’s ideal because it has afor the summer,” said Neustadt’s Val Simpson. nice bite to it
- Brick’s Waterloo Wheat finally ventures into Toronto. Booth 56.
If this doesn't make you thirsty, see a doctor.
